Safeguarding Audit

Providing everything you need

We know that safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare is a critical priority of the school to enable pupils to learn effectively in a safe environment. Ineffective safeguarding can trigger an Ofsted inspection and affect the whole Ofsted outcome. Concerns about safeguarding may raise wider questions about the effectiveness of leadership and management

An audit by one of our specialists can provide comprehensive evaluation, support and guidance to ensure compliance with the latest Ofsted framework as well as DfE statutory guidance.

What the evaluation involves

  • This can be a bespoke audit to meet the needs of your school and leaders. It can comprehensively evaluate all areas of safeguarding or focus on a particular area that you are currently developing. This can be conducted through an on-site visit or by a remote evaluation.

  • The exercise can involve meeting the relevant staff, leaders, governors (or trustees) and/or conducting pupil voice.

  • A comprehensive check of the Single Central Record, curriculum, relevant policies and practice, safer recruitment processes and records to evaluate the overall effectiveness of safeguarding in the school.

  • The evaluation report will provide key findings, including compliance against statutory requirements, strengths and areas for development with recommendations.

  • The evaluation is solution focused and collaborative.

Following the audit and report, we can provide follow-up assistance and visits to review the changes made or provide an update service as regulations change.
